Ann and Allen arrived, Ann
is the wonderful woman who set up Uganda lodge project and has big plans for
the future of the charity. We have now a few laptops where we will teach the
children basic computer skills so they can use it to better their future with
possible jobs or even just to understand what the internet is and what is
possible with it.
Allen is an Engineer and has visited a few
times, So far as I am aware he has provided the local villages with water from
a natural spring piped to all their homes. He made the pizza oven here and a
sola oven which is quite cool. This time around he made a sand grader as he
will use the different grades in a water purifier. As this is Africa a lot of
this stuff is new technology and the builders just use one grade of sand for
everything.
Rich cut some bits of wood for our stepping
stones and while we were around the fire we noticed these very large logs have
been used as fire wood so tomorrow’s job is to hunt for some more to use
instead.
