Our first morning we woke
up and had breakfast and when we was all brushing our teeth we spotted an
elephant so I took a picture of it with Rich in the photo to prove it was in
our back yard. We also went for a drive and saw lots of Hippos and Cobb.
This
day Allen hired had 3 locals to dig for us and care had to be taken to remove
the equipment as it was to be re-used again but in a building this time. The
diggers cost around 30,000 shillings which is about £9 GBP.
]Emma and I was given the task of
measuring out how big this building would be to house a shower and also a
flushing toilet. We didn’t have much to go on except the size of the barrels
which are used in the filtration. Armed with a machete we marked it all out on
the ground to have a better idea of what it will look like. Each night we had
fresh fish which was a real treat as they knew how to cook it to keep its
flavour.
