The builders have
returned and we have borrowed a saw off them to cut through some massive trees
to make some stepping stones that the kids can have in their playground. The
saw was blunt so we spent half of the day making only 4 cuts. I had to travel
to the village to one of the builder’s homes for a spare saw hoping it would be
sharper. The new lads which have arrived offered a hand to help dig the holes
for the stepping stones and for the other half of our tyre swing which was
great, otherwise we would still be there digging.
The seamstress has now finished sewing our
fabric together for the hammock and we have tied it up between to supporting
posts for the dorms. It feels great I just hope it lasts and no one drunk uses
it as without some through getting on and off of it they could do some damage
to them selfs.
We made some bread the other day with our
flapjacks which was amazing! Came to have some for the morning and found one of
the loaves we made has gone missing.
Don’t know if it’s a cat or a volunteer because it was wrapped in
tinfoil and nothing was left for us in the morning.
The last few days has been over cast which
is great means we have been able to get more done with it being cooler.
Another few more volunteers have arrived
also today bringing the total I think to between 20-25, It’s a stark difference
than when I was first here with the four of us.
