Today we had a day trip to Lake Nabyoko.
Its about 45 mins drive from where we are. We got there and the way to order
the moter boat was to hit a metal bar on an old car wheel and ring it. 20 mins
later the boat arrived.
We chose to order lunch as soon as we got
there and the menu had beef goat fish and chicken. The only meat they had was
chicken so we had to order that, we went found our spot by the shore and set
out our towls. Moments later we sat a guy chasing 2 chickens around the
grounds. They chose us the 2 biggest chickens they had and put them in a cage.
2 hours later they decided to slaughter and butcher these two chickens. It was
interesting once the head was off it was fed to the cats and the chickens were
plucked in 5 mins tops.
The meal its self was probably the worst I
have had so far as the meat was so tough I couldn’t even eat in to it. I ended
up just having chips.
Emma, Jane and I went for a swim to a rock
so we could jump off. As we approached we could smell the stench of bird poo
and the rock was white with it all. The water was quite dirty and I didn’t want
to stay in it for too long.
Think while I was sun bathing I put my towl
on an ant hill because I had them crawling all over me.
I am a little sun burnt from today, the sun
was out and the weather was georgus.
